Presbyterian, St. John's, Marshall & WV...four games...so winnable!

Presby - a fluke, choked away a 15 pt 2nd half lead, lost by 2
Marshall - had a 9 pt 2nd half lead, lost in OT
WV - led by 3 with 14 seconds left, lost in OT
St. John's, lost by 2 at the buzzer

In 3 of these games, the Cats had leads late in the game...they were all so winnable

Can you imagine? 20-3, ranked in the top 15 for sure, 8-2 in the BE behind only Syracuse.

They are so friggin' close!!
It's kind of (ok, no kind of) frustrating, to say the least.

I know, someone could probably point out a few games that could have easily gone the other way too...I don't wanna hear it...I'm busy picturing the coulda, woulda, shoulda.

DePaul (11-10; 2-7) at Cincinnati (15-7; 5-4) 7pm.

And for those in attendance, you will be honored to know that you get to watch a brilliantly officiated game led by the one of the greatest to ever work a game (just ask him)......Tim Higgins.

Once again, a medical situation has forced UConn coach Jim Calhoun to step away from the bench. Could hamper UConn the rest of the season.

Been a while since UC has had any white American players...

Is that because the coaching staff doesn't recruit them or they wouldn't want to play at UC?

This is not meant to have any racial undertones, it's merely a fact. The last white player UC had on scholarship was........

I watched a good chunk of St. John's-DePaul last night (SJU won 87-81) and came away with the following:

-DePaul really hates ball pressure. They were up 10+ in the first half and a St. John's press late in the first half quickly and rather easily evaporated that advantage.

-DePaul is aggressive defensively but really overplays which led to a lot of easy baskets for SJU. SJU shot over 70% in the 2nd half last night

-DePaul has people that can make plays so it will be a must for UC to pick up the defensive intensity and not allow the Demons to stay in the game.

All told, DePaul is better than in years past and continues to improve. UC is still significantly better (when they play to their abilities) and should come out on Saturday and win.
